Year 5 - Heron Class
Welcome to Heron Class!
We have twenty three children in our class and our teachers are Mrs Morris and Mrs Daniels.
Mrs Daniels teaches on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Mrs Morris teaches on Thursdays and Fridays. We are looking forward to working together this year to teach your children.
Year Five are also lucky to have Mrs Weddepohl working in the classroom at various points throughout the week supporting the delivery of the curriculum.
We look forward to working with you and your families over the coming year and hope that you will find everything you need to know about life in Year 5 in the documents below.

‘Full Steam Ahead...’ is our cross curricular theme this term and we will be finding out all about what it was like to be a child in Victorian times and how the lives of children who came to our school when it first opened may differ from our lives today.
Spring 2024
Happy New Year everyone!
The Spring term in Year 5 promises to be equally as action packed. Please refer to our topic web link for more details of the learning we have planned across the curriculum.
Highlights include ‘Viva Roma’ which will see us travel back further in history to explore the Roman Empire and its’ impact on Britain and exploring the ‘Space’ as part of our Science curriculum this term.
We are, of course, all looking forward to our residential visit to Grafham in March… more details about that to follow.
