Travelling by Tuba

21st March 2018

As part of this year's Cambridgeshire Music Hub Live Concert series we were all treated to a special assembly by 'Travelling by Tuba' where two musicians came and shared a whole variety of instruments with us from all around the world and showed us many different ways to make sounds. Some of the instruments were used 600 years ago!

Year Four and most of Year Five helped in the performance by providing the percussion for a piece of music celebrating the Common Wealth Games. Their performance followed the workshop that they had all been involved in during the afternoon. They found out how to play the didgeridoo, maracas, claves, broom sticks, gogo bell, triangles and bell plates. They had to work hard as a team to play the different rhythms and musical patterns for the composition.

Much fun was had by all.
