A visit from the Fire and Rescue Service

4th November 2016

A huge thank you to the Fire and Rescue Service who came to school to visit us on Friday last week.

Children in Reception Class and Years 1 and 2 found out lots of information about how to stay safe on Bonfire Night.

The firefighters explained what types of emergency calls they have to deal with - from house fires to road traffic accidents to rescuing cats from trees!  We were very lucky to learn all about the safety uniform and equipment they wear and the equipment in the fire engines.  We managed to learn all of this despite them needing to attend two emergency calls during the morning.

Thank you so much to all of the firefighters who visited us! We really enjoyed our morning.
